Camping Fontemaggio è one of the first campgrounds in Italy and very popular with those who like to be in contact with nature. There are numerous pitches for campers, caravans and tents, as well as ample space for coaches. The campsite è easy to reach and is a 15-minute walk from the historic center of Assisi. For those who have trouble walking, the’absence of a shuttle service to the historic center can’alternatively be made up for by the many paid parking lots in town or an efficient radio cab service. Tours and donkey treks are organized by reservation. Many pitches are shaded and have beautiful views of the Umbrian Valley. A beautiful playground (all up to standard), surrounded by greenery, è is a source of great joy for families with children. By choice there are no noisy entertainment activities, as it is believed that camping is more livable if it is quiet and peaceful. During the’high season, a café-tabacchi with homemade ice cream and a convenience store equipped with all the’essentials are also active. There are, in addition, 2 dumping and reloading points for RVs, power outlets (1.5 KW-220 Volts-6.81 Ampère), washer, dryer, freezer, and bathrooms with hot showers. Electricity and hot showers are included in the price, and rates are per night, so after each overnight stay you can stay until the evening without triggering the daily rate again. Dogs are allowed (for which there is no charge) on a leash. Tents are not rented.
