Location
Camping Tranquilla is located in Baveno, between Lake Maggiore and the mountains, in a quiet spot with a panoramic view of the lake, 1.5 km from the town center. The campground is near the Borromean Islands and offers easy access to Stresa, Verbania, and Arona, as well as attractions such as Villa Taranto, Villa Pallavicino, Mottarone, Lake Orta, Lake Mergozzo, and the Toce Waterfall. Boat services to the islands and the Lago Maggiore Express also depart from the center of Baveno.

Accommodations
The campground features 18,000 square meters of grassy grounds for tents, RVs, and trailers, with sites ranging from about 60–80 m², some up to 90–100 m², all equipped with a 6A electrical hookup. The layout of the campground makes the sites particularly quiet and shaded.

Accommodations include 20 bungalows, a Treehouse,tree, a Safari Tent, a Lodge Tent, and a mini-apartment converted from an old car of the Stresa-Mottarone train.

The treehouse, built entirely of wood and raised 3 meters off the ground, features a double bedroom with a loft and an additional double bed, a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink, a kitchen with an electric stove, sink, refrigerator, and mini-freezer, an extra single bed, a covered terrace overlooking Lake Maggiore, and air conditioning; it can accommodate up to 4 people.

The Tram is a mini-bungalow builtinside a railcar from the Stresa-Mottarone railway, featuring a sleeping area with a double bunk bed, a living area with a kitchenette, electric hotplates, and a refrigerator, a bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning; it can accommodate up to 4 people.

The Standard Bungalow, measuring 8 x 3 meters, includes two bedrooms—one with two single beds (some with an extra bed) and one with a double bed—a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen and living room, an outdoor veranda, and air conditioning. It can accommodate up to 4 people plus one child.

The Superior Bungalow, measuring 7.50 x 4 meters, features a bedroom with three single beds, a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen and living room, an outdoor veranda, and air conditioning. It can accommodate up to 5 people.

The Safari Tent is a spacious tent equipped with two bedrooms—one with three single beds and one with a double bed—a bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, a living room, and an outdoor veranda; it can accommodate up to 5 people. The Lodge Tent, spread over two floors, features a bathroom with a shower on the ground floor, toilet, and sink, a kitchen, a living room with a double bed, and an outdoor veranda; the first floor features a large double bedroom; it is designed to accommodate 4 people—2 adults and 2 children. Linens are not included for any of these accommodations.

Facilities
The campground offers a tourist train to the center of Baveno, as well as a reception desk, bar, swimming pool, playground, and recreational areas. The bar, located behind the reception desk, features a small lounge and a panoramic terrace and offers hot and cold beverages, pre-packaged sandwiches, frozen meals, cocktails, alcoholic beverages, and ice cream; there is also a bookstore with books in various languages.

Activities and Entertainment
Thepool area includes two pools connected to a whirlpool area and a children’s section with varying depths and a seal-shaped water play structure. The playground features a wooden castle with swings, a slide, climbing walls, and a Tibetan bridge, as well as a baby walker, two ping-pong tables, and a foosball table.

In the surrounding area, you can enjoy outdoor activities and visit the Borromean Islands, Mount Mottarone, the botanical gardens, and the towns around Lake Maggiore. Excursions are also available on the Lago Maggiore Express, as well as visits to the markets in the lakeside towns and activities focused on exploring the surrounding lakes and mountains.
