LOCATION
The Calenella Tourist Village is located in San Menaio, in the Gargano region, nestled within the Gargano National Park. The resort is nestled within a vast pine forest of Aleppo pines and holm oaks, featuring expansive green spaces and a natural environment maintained with respect for the local landscape. The Calenella Beach, characterized by light-colored, very fine sand and situated at the foot of the Monte Pucci Tower, is about 800 meters away and can also be reached via a free shuttle. Just a few minutes away is Peschici, while Vico del Gargano boasts a historic center of exceptional beauty. Vieste boasts a 19th-century historic center and picturesque coastal scenery. Nearby you’ll also find the Foresta Umbra, the Gargano coast with its beaches, bays, coves, and caves, the characteristic trabucchi, and the Tremiti Islands, as well as the Gargano Sea Caves.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The resort offers various types of accommodations, set in a shaded natural environment. The camping sites for tents, RVs, and trailers are set on natural terrain and are bordered by wooden fences; the camping area is located in the shade of Aleppo pines. There are also one- and three-room bungalows, mobile homes, and trailers.

The brick bungalows feature private bathrooms and a kitchenette and are nestled among pine trees and mastic bushes. The Studio Bungalow measures 22 square meters, plus 17 square meters of veranda, 9 of which are covered, and can accommodate 2 to 4 people. It consists of a single room with a double bed and a bunk bed, a bathroom with a shower and a veranda with a kitchenette. The Three-Room Bungalow measures 30 square meters, plus 10 square meters of veranda, and sleeps 5 sleeping spots, a small living area with a single sofa bed, a kitchenette, a double bedroom, a small bedroom with a non-separable bunk bed, bathroom with shower and outdoor veranda. The bungalows do not have a TV.

The mobile homes are prefabricated units nestled in the greenery, equipped with private bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a spacious outdoor veranda. The resort also features travel trailers and natural-ground campsites bordered by wooden fences.

FACILITIES
The resort features a semi-Olympic-sized pool and a children’s pool, as well as two tennis courts, one with synthetic turf and one with concrete, and a synthetic turf soccer field. Also available are a fitness trail for adults surrounded by nature, a restaurant serving traditional, locally sourced cuisine in line with the Slow Food philosophy, a pizzeria, a bar, a private beach, and a nightclub area.

The resort has three restroom facilities with free hot showers. There is a’recycling station for separate waste collection and a’dog park. The private beach is equipped with beach umbrellas and lounge chairs. The resort also offers entertainment, Mini and Junior Clubs, evening shows, sports tournaments, group dances, and fitness activities.

ACTIVITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
Theentertainment program is designed to be “low-key,” with a schedule of activities that is organized without being intrusive. Children and teens can participate in the activities of the Mini and Junior Club, while adults can enjoy sports activities, such as the fitness trail, tennis, soccer, and fitness. There’s no shortage of sports tournaments, group dances, and evening shows.

The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for excursions. The facility provides itineraries to the Tremiti Islands, the Gargano Sea Caves, and the Umbra Forest; also within easy reach are Peschici, Vieste, Vico del Gargano, and the Gargano coast. Enthusiasts of scuba diving can explore the seabed and marine caves, while the trabucchi are a distinctive feature of the coastline.
