Travel tips
Many tourists choose the campsites and villages of Portugal to take advantage of the immense beaches that this country offers. But the sea is not the only attraction of this splendid land made up of history, medieval castles, traditions, museums, villages to discover and a respectable food and wine.
In the region of the Algarve , in the south of the country, you can admire a real paradise where in summer the water reaches 23 degrees and where the sea is very calm and suitable for family holidays .
Lisbon , the capital, is already a good reason to choose a holiday in Portugal. Not to be missed in this city are attractions such as the Belém Tower and the Santa Justa elevator, but here it is also nice to get lost in the different neighborhoods where there seems to be street art on every corner: creative spaces (such as the Village Underground Lisboa) and pretty squares everywhere. Another unmissable city is definitely Sintra which seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale. It is one of the most impressive places to visit in Portugal with its historic castles, quirky palaces and a bunch of idyllic gardens where you can get lost for days. Porto , another city not to be missed, has a historical charm of its own: beautiful tiles, the cakes of Lisbon's pastry shops, but with fewer people. Here you cannot fail to taste the famous wine that takes the name of the city itself.
The Azores Islands , in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean but belonging to Portugal, are one of the best places to visit if you love nature, trekking and surfing.
