Travel tips
Located off the coast of Naples, Isola di Procida is one of the Phlegraean Islands in southern Italy. The smallest island in the Gulf of Naples, Procida has beautiful historical sites.
Procida is a mix of ancient Greek ruins and colourful pastel colours that are typical of the Mediterranean. The main settlements are the medieval village of Terra Murata and the fishing village of Corricella.
Sailing to neighbouring islands and along Procida’s coastline is a great way to explore the Bay of Naples. Boat charters are also available for a guided, hassle-free experience. Good diving sites can be found at Punta Pizzaco, Capo Bove, Secca delle Formiche and Punta Solchiaro.
Ferries link the island with Naples and Capri and there are also affordable ferries to the neighbouring island of Ischia.
