POSITION
The Camping Delfino is strategically located, only 44 km from the tourist port of Savona, from which ships connect Liguria to major islands such as Corsica and Sardinia. The main port of Genoa is 87 km away and connects the region to Sardinia, Sicily, Spain (port of Barcelona), Rome, and Naples. Both cities are also common destinations of the Crusades boats. Also within easy reach are the marinas of Monaco-Monte-Carlo (97 km), Alassio (3 km), Loano (15 km) and Andora (20 km), where è small pleasure boats can be moored. The campground è is conveniently located for daily trips to the French Riviera in only 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. Not far from the campsite is the town of Albenga, with its beautiful medieval-Renaissance historic center, the second largest in Liguria after Genoa, with pre-Roman vestiges and numerous noble palaces. It is also home to a unique art masterpiece, the Cobalt Blue Plate, kept in the Palazzo Oddo cultural center. The Roman road Julia Augusta is just a few hundred meters from the campground. Nearby are also the Toirano Caves and numerous historic villages such as Zuccarello, Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, Balestrino, Cisano sul Neva, Conscente Castle, Cervo, Loano, Pietra Ligure, Borgio Verezzi, Finale Ligure, Spotorno, Noli, Dolceacqua, Apricale, Pigna, Triora, Bussana Vecchia, and Seborga. Monaco and Monte-Carlo can be reached in a’hour's drive.

The Camping Delfino offers two blocks of sanitary facilities, both newly renovated with elegance and practicality. One of the blocks è has been refurbished with solar panels powering six hot showers activated through cards or 0.50 cent coins. The showers are low-flow to reduce water consumption while maintaining a constant temperature. There are 12 toilets of various types, from classic to Turkish, with showers for personal hygiene and a domestic-style bathroom reserved for ladies, equipped with a toilet, sink and bidet. È a dual flush chemical toilet is also available. The main block è consists of 24 various toilets, 12 cold showers and 10 hot showers (also 0.50 cents). One block also includes washing machine, indoor and outdoor washing, and foot washing. The campground offers Wi-Fi with full coverage throughout the area. The indoor Mini Market has fresh fruits and vegetables, ready-to-cook or take-away meals, fresh bread daily, milk, cheese, fresh and packaged foods. The café serves fresh croissants, pizzas, flatbreads, sandwiches, and savory croissants with ham and cheese, which can be enjoyed in the flowery outdoor patio. Cocktails and aperitifs are available accompanied by freshly baked focaccia or appetizers. The recently renovated Delfino Restaurant and Pizzeria offer a rich selection of land and seafood dishes at excellent value for money. Chef Domenico offers fresh seafood dishes and typical local products such as Albenga violet asparagus, artichokes, Taggiasca olives, trombetta zucchini and beef heart tomatoes. The pizzeria also offers take-out pizza and has a panoramic terrace.

The campground offers whale watching excursions in the Pelagos Sanctuary, a marine protected area since 1993, departing weekly from Andora and Imperia. Outings last 5/6 hours, are led by a marine biologist and include snack bars on board. È it is possible to spot minke whales, sperm whales, pilot whales, dolphins of various species and Caretta Caretta turtles. Camp guests enjoy a discount by booking at the front desk. Diving enthusiasts can explore the seabed near Gallinara Island: the wreck of the Umberto I (40 meters deep), the shoal of the Tosa (36 meters), the wreck of the Sassari (25 meters) and a fish resettlement area with Groupers, Redfish, Octopus, Bream, Sea Bass and Paraw. È also visible is the Christ of the Deep. For biking and mountain biking enthusiasts, the area offers numerous trails and roads, including the M’nie Plateau, home of the Finale Ligure 24-hour international race. Free climbing enthusiasts can enjoy free climbing on the rocks of Finale Ligure and at the new Castelbianco hot spot, just minutes from the campground. The reception staff provides free tourist material and suggestions on excursions and places to visit.
