Montenegro

The camping villages in Montenegro will give you the opportunity to discover this beautiful land still not very touristy but with many attractions that will give you a lot of satisfaction.
The Bay of Kotor ("Boka Kotorska", in Italian) represent the main attraction of Montenegro and being a truly wonderful place, it is not surprising that the interior of the bay was the first site in Montenegro to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overlooking the bay is Kotor , the most beautiful town with the walls that protect it and which develop on the steep slope behind the town. Also not to be missed is the town of Perast , a twenty minute drive from Kotor, with its famous Our Lady of the Rock Island .
The capital, Podgorica , is one of the youngest capitals in Europe so it cannot boast monuments and attractions like the other great European capitals, but this does not mean that it does not deserve your attention: here you can visit the Resurrection Cathedral, walk along the banks of its rivers and immerse yourself in the ancient stone bridges, or visit the splendid Njegošev Park located along the banks of the Morača River
The most beautiful and best known panoramic road in Montenegro is the one that starts from Kotor and climbs up to Mount Lovcen . It is 17 km of road that offers incredible views over the bay of Kotor and the Adriatic Sea .
Very nice to visit is Lake Skadar , the largest of the Balkans . It belongs 2/3 to Montenegro and 1/3 to Albania and is famous for being one of the most important European habitats for many species of birds. The main access point to the lake is Virpazaar from which the highly recommended boat trips to explore it depart.
