Campingpark Heidewald
The pastorally located Campingpark Heidewald near Sassenberg, Muensterland, was founded by Heinz Austermann in the early 1960s.
The inventor and builder of the first caravan – the so-called Knospe – has regularly been asked by his customers where to go camping with the newly purchased caravan. In short, he established a camping site himself – today's Campingpark Heidewald. In 2003, the third generation of the Peitz-Austermann family took over the camping site and created a five-star gem out of it.
Our park-like grounds are constantly being modernised and extended. Here you are welcome with your caravan, camper van or tent. Just tell us what you are looking for and we will find the right spot – rather sunny or shady, on gravel or lawn, near the sanitary area or the playground …
